In one of the largest meets across the upper Midwest, the Otter Tail Central Bulldogs traveled to Grand Forks, N.D. on Saturday for the annual Border Battle. The meet featured nearly 75 teams from three states and Canada, which is divided into Class A and Class AA teams.
The boys team finished in 12th place and were led by Peter Newark, who finished in 27th place with a time of 17:33. Talyn Setterholm finished in 57th place with a time of 18:31, Aidan Heggem finished in 68th place with a time of 18:43, Jonah Hagemeister finished in 92nd place with a time of 19:13.6, Nathan Russ finished in 154th place with a time of 20:44 and Phoenix Allison finished in 183rd place with a time of 21:59.
A total of 32 teams competed in the Class A boys meet.
On the girls side, Norah Froslee led the charge with a seventh place finish with a time of 20:22. A total of 181 people participated in the Class A girls meet.
Laney Frost took 91st place with a time of 23:27, Delia Tebrugge took 118th place with a time of 24:16, Mae Hagemeister took 136th place with a time of 24:46 and Emily Christensen took 153rd place with a time of 25:54.
As a team the Bulldogs finished in 16th place out of 21 teams.
