Dollys to take the stage on Saturday in Henning

A renowned musical trio from the Twin Cities area will be making a stop in Henning on Saturday.

The Dollys feature three of Minneapolis’ most sought after vocalists, harmonizing to the music of EmmyLou Harris, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt. In addition to the hit music of Harris, Parton and Rondstadt, the group will perform a number of classic country hits from other country legends, which will take those who attend back to the Grand ‘Ol Opry. 

The Dollys feature Kari Shaw-Akers (vocals), Megan Shaw (vocals) and Doug Otto (vocals/acoustic guitar) who have a local connection to the Eckhoff and Shaw families in Henning. Several members of the group have also come to the Leaf Lakes area in the summer months. 

Jamie Wilson, of the Trinity Center, said local volunteers are attempting to get more acts to perform at the Trinity Center, especially ones with local connections to the area. She said the facility has great acoustics, which makes for a positive concert experience. 

“The acoustics at Trinity are wonderful. It is awesome,” she said. 

The concert will be held at the Trinity Center in Henning. The concert will get underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday. 

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Wilson at (763) 227-9826 or any Trinity Center Board member.
