One person stabbed at Rothsay truck stop

Sheriff deputies, on March 6, reported a stabbing at the Rothsay Truck Stop.
“Shortly after midnight Otter Tail County dispatch received a 911 complaint of a stabbing that resulted in a non-life-threatening wound to a 42-year-old female,” said a sheriff deputy.
The woman was transferred to an area hospital.
Arrested after the incident was 52-year-old John Fogleman who was charged with second degree assault and domestic assault. The parties were known to each other and there was no risk to the general public.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff Office was assisted by the Wilkin County Sheriff Office, Pelican Rapids Police Department, Rothsay Rescue Squad and Pelican Rapids Ambulance.
Roadway accidents
One injury was reported in a traffic accident at 2:50 a.m. on March 3 along Interstate 94 in southwestern Otter Tail County.
Another injury was reported in a three-vehicle crash at 12:16 p.m. on March 4 on Highway 8 near Perham. One of the vehicles was a FedEx truck. An SUV rolled during the accident.
At 3:50 a.m. on March 3 an accident took place at the intersection of Highways 210 and 86, west of Fergus Falls. A woman escaped injury when she lost control of her vehicle on icy roads and the vehicle rolled into the north ditch.
A vehicle became stuck in the middle of Highway 24 in western Otter Tail County at 4:52 a.m. on March 3. The county highway department hauled the vehicle to a safe location since the stuck vehicle would have been a traffic hazard to morning commuters.
Scam reported
A resident of Otter Tail County, on March 3, was scammed out of $327 in a blackmail case after sending explicit photos to another person over social media. The victim was advised about internet privacy programs and to stop communication with the scammer.
Burglary reported
Sheriff deputies, on March 4, reported a burglary at Blybergs Lane at Fish Lake north of Pelican Rapids. Taken from a garage were power tools, a radio, packout boxes and hand tools.
Entry was made between 4:40 p.m. on March 3 and 8:50 a.m. on March 4.
