Sixth grader Ivy Witt (above) took first place at the annual Henning School spelling bee on Wednesday morning. Witt correctly spelled the word “intubated” to win the championship round. She will now advance to the regional spelling bee in Fergus Falls on Feb. 7. She is the daughter of Steve and Sadie Witt of rural Henning. Easton Misegades (below right) took second place and Gabe Froslee finished in third place. Also competing in the spelling bee was Chance Greenwaldt (below left).
