Suchy graduates from Minnesota State University-Moorhead

0Minnesota State University Moorhead will award degrees to more than 400 students during its fall commencement program Thursday, Dec. 15, in the university’s Nemzek Fieldhouse. The 1 p.m. ceremony includes 310 undergraduates and 123 graduate students
Amy Iler, host, producer and brand manager with KFGO Radio, will be the commencement speaker. She earned her degree in communication studies and spent several years in Washington, D.C., working for former Congressman Earl Pomeroy and former Senator Byron Dorgan. At KFGO, she has helped build a legacy through numerous awards and recognitions, including non-stop broadcasting during natural disasters, highlighting local newsmakers and special event coverage.
Representing the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees will be the Honorable George Soule, a judge of the White Earth Tribal Court of Appeals and a founding partner of Soule & Stull, LLC. Soule earned his undergraduate degree from MSUM and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is also the namesake for MSUM’s George Soule American Indian Center.
The student speaker will be Molly Johnson from Moorhead, who is earning a Bachelor of Science in ecology and evolutionary biology.
Local students who will receive a degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead includes: Amanda Suchyl, Summa Cum Laude, Vining, Art Education (BFA).
