The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs dropped their third straight game on Friday night against one of the top teams in not only Section 6A, but all of Class A in the Parkers Prairie Panthers

The Bulldogs fell by a score of 42-6 to drop to 2-4 on the season.

Parkers Prairie got things going in the first quarter when Nolan Boesl found Merrick Hoffman on a 12-yard touchdown pass to put the Panthers up 7-0. 

The Bulldogs answered when Reece Christensen scored on a 10-yard run later in the first quarter to make the score 7-6 when the two-point conversion failed. From there, it was all Panthers as they scored the next 35 unanswered points, including a 62-yard run later in the first quarter and three touchdowns in the second quarter to lead 35-6 at halftime. 

Parkers Prairie added another touchdown in the third quarter to come away with the 42-6 win. 

The Panthers had a devastating running attack on Friday night as they outrushed the Bulldogs by a 317 to 158-yard margin. They also collected 113 yards through the air, compared to just 36 for the Bulldogs. 

The Bulldogs were led on the ground by Christensen who had seven carries for 69 yards and a touchdown, while Dawson Rogers rushed 14 times for 62 yards.

MaCade Barbre was the leading receiver with one catch for 29 yards, while Easton Misegades caught one pass for eight yards. 

This week the Bulldogs will travel to Menahga to take on the surprising 4-2 Braves. The Braves have won two straight games after defeating Wadena-Deer Creek 28-0 on October 2 and New York Mills by a score of 46-6 last week. 

Menahga is currently averaging 28.3 points per game on offense, while surrendering 20.2 points per game on defense.

The Bulldogs average 13 points per game on offense, while giving up 24.7 points per game on defense.

OTC will wrap up their regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 21 in Battle Lake against the Frazee Hornets.
