ason Casper and Hallie Weller were crowned as the Henning High School Homecoming king and queen during Monday night’s coronation. Casper is the son of Cassandra Olson and Jared Casper, while Weller is the daughter of Mike and Andria Weller.

Coronation kicked off a busy week of festivities in and around the Henning community for homecoming week as Tuesday’s activities will include an afternoon volleyball game in Battle Lake, before powder puff football heads to the football field at 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday.

Homecoming week continues on Thursday with iron volleyball at 9:56 a.m. in the high school gym, before the homecoming parade rolls through downtown Henning on Friday afternoon. The parade will get underway at 2:30 p.m. at the school and each high school class will decorate a parade entry with a special theme and roll through downtown Henning. Residents are encouraged to line the streets in downtown Henning for the annual parade.

Homecoming week will come to a close on Friday night with the homecoming football game at Don Seipkes Field in Henning against Breckenridge. The homecoming dance will follow the game at the school to wrap up the busy week.
