The Lake Region Arts Council is now accepting applications for the FY27 Artist Cohort Program, a 10-month professional development experience designed to help artists build sustainable, thriving creative careers.

Open to artists working in all creative disciplines, the cohort provides individualized support to help participants grow their artistic practice and professional goals. Six selected artists will receive one-on-one career coaching, participate in Springboard for the Arts’ Work of Art professional development workshops, and connect with fellow artists through facilitated Talking Circles.

Participants will also receive a professional photo session, a promotional video, individualized assistance developing their artist statement, biography, and résumé, and opportunities to exhibit and promote their work throughout the year. The program culminates in a group exhibition at the LRAC Main Gallery, with additional networking and exhibition opportunities across the region. Selected artists are also eligible to receive a participation-based stipend of up to $1,000.

The program is open to artists at any stage of their career who reside within LRAC’s nine-county service region, and no formal arts training is required.

Applications open July 23 and close August 20, at 5 p.m.
