Bikers will be taking to the streets of Henning on Tuesday night, but don’t expect to see leather chaps, handle bar mustaches or loud roaring engines. Instead, local youth will be putting up their kick stands, clipping on their helmets and cheering loudly as they race through an obstacle course during the 12th annual Henning Bike Rodeo.

The event, which had previously been held at the Landmark Center, will be moved to Amundson Park and the festival grounds on Tuesday, May 5 from 5-7 p.m. The bike rodeo will feature a free picnic dinner, ice cream bars, helmet fittings, bike safety checks, an obstacle course and drag races.

In addition to all of the events and activities, a total 12 bikes will be given away by random drawing as part of the bike rodeo.

The bike rodeo is organized by Henning CHAT with the help of a number of local sponsors.
