Birak Shrine Club members Bob Polzine, Henning, and Jon Tamke, Battle Lake presented two checks totaling $1,800 to Henning School Superintendent Melissa Sparks Tuesday, April 14. The money will be used to purchase a new, larger, adaptive trike for students to use within the school. Pictured next to the smaller adaptive trike is student Emma Keskitalo. This smaller trike was purchased by the Birak Club several years ago, and with the student continuing to grow, a new larger unit was needed. Both trikes will continue to be used by students in the school. Funds to purchase the trike came from the Birak Kar Kor, the club’s parade unit, ($900) and from a matching grant from Minnesota Masonic Charities ($900). The Grant was made possible through the request of Masonic sponsor, Corner Stone Lodge #99 of Underwood.
