The Otter Tail Central baseball teams hosted an elementary baseball camp for students in grades 3-6. The camp focused on fundemental skill development, teamwork and fostering a love for the game of baseball.

The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs wrapped up another successful elementary baseball camp season this past weekend, concluding a series of camps designed to develop young players in grades 3–6 while building excitement for the future of Bulldogs baseball.

Led by Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson, the camps focused on fundamental skill development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game. Throughout the multi-week camp series, players worked on hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, baserunning, and game situations in a fun and encouraging environment.

Coach Hendrickson was assisted by Assistant Coach Evan Meece, along with numerous OTC varsity baseball players who volunteered their time to help instruct and mentor the younger athletes. Their involvement provided campers with strong role models and helped create a positive learning environment.

“We had a tremendous turnout and a great group of young players this year,” said Hendrickson. “I want to give a huge thank you to Coach Meece, our varsity players, and especially our parents. Their support — both at camp and continuing at home and throughout the summer — is what helps these young athletes grow and improve.”

Hendrickson also emphasized how important family involvement is in player development.

“We hope parents felt the camps were well worth their time, effort, and investment. Our goal is that every player improved, gained confidence, and developed a stronger love for baseball. We truly believe that happened again this year.”

The Bulldogs coaching staff looks forward to continuing the tradition next season.

“I hope to see all of our 3rd-6th grade players again next year,” Hendrickson added. “We wish everyone the best of luck in their upcoming youth baseball seasons. We’ll be watching and rooting you on throughout the summer.”
