Henning High School senior Kale Misegades has been named as one of the five finalists for the title of Mr. Basketball award. The winner of the Mr. Basketball Minnesota award will be announced on Sunday, March 29 at 10 a.m. at Dave’s Hot Chicken in the North Loop in Minneapolis.

All five finalists, which include: Nolen Anderson of Wayzata (University of Minnesota recruit); Jayden Moore of Hopkins (University of North Dakota recruit); Deron Russell of Waseca (North Dakota State University recruit in football); Christian Wiggins of Wayzata (Iowa State University recruit) and Misegades of Henning (Southwest Minnesota State recruit); have been invited to attend the awards ceremony.

Earlier this month Misegades was named to the Top 10 Mr. Basketball finalist list. It is believed he is the first person in Henning High School history to be named as a Mr. Basketball finalist and he is the lone Class A member of the top 10 and top five lists for the award.
