Monday, March 1, was ushered in the lion brand of weather. Although it was not cold—10 above—the wind was the strongest of the winter. Sunday was a beautiful day; the mercury rising to 48 above. The warm weather almost stripped the countryside of the snow. The past winter has been marked by the absence of blizzards or little wind, and with all the inhabitants have been pleased with the variety of weather doled out.
