0Local student named to UND fall 2025 Dean’s List
More than 1,900 University of North Dakota (UND) students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2025 fall semester Dean’s List.
The UND Dean’s List comprises students whose grade point average are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the University’s degree granting Colleges and Schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”
Among the local students who were named to the Dean’s List include: Lila Thorson, Deer Creek.

Local student named to Northwestern Dean’s List
Kaislyn Bunkowski*, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the fall 2025 semester.
The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 532 students qualified for the Dean’s List. Of them, 354 students earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher and are considered Collegiate Scholars, designated with an asterisk.
Bunkowski* is a senior majoring in youth ministry & Christian formation from Henning.

UND announces 2025 President’s Roll of Honor
Nearly 1,300 University of North Dakota (UND) students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2025 fall semester President’s Roll of Honor.
To qualify for the UND President’s Roll of Honor, a student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The student must also have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at the close of the semester, eight of which must be for traditional letter grades.
Among the local students named to the President’s Roll of Honor include: Ashley Vogt, Henning.
