The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs had their season come to an end in the opening round of the Section 6A wrestling tournament on Friday night. The Bulldogs came into the tournament as the ninth seed and fell to eighth seeded Pelican Rapids by a score of 47-26. 

Colton Dolezal opened the match with a 10-1 major decision at 107 lbs., before the Vikings rounded off a pair of wins by forfeits to jump out to a 12-4 lead. 

Austin Kugler picked up a forfeit win himself at 127 lbs., before the Vikings picked up wins in five of the next six matches to pull away for good. The lone win during that stretch came from Tayden Soma at 152 lbs. by a pin at the 3:15 mark of his match.

Also securing wins for the Bulldogs was Luitovio Faaaliga at 189 lbs. by a major decision and William Schwartz by a forfeit at 215 lbs. 

West Central Area would go on to defeat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville by a score of 33-28 to advance to state.
