A total of 11 Henning School students competed in the region Business Professionals of America contest in Detroit Lakes last week.
The Henning Business Professionals of America (BPA) group had their Regional Contests at M-State in Detroit Lakes on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Henning ended up having 11 students compete in a variety of individual and/or team events and eight students qualifed for the State BPA Competition in March in Minneapolis. There they will compete against members from across the state for an opportunity to compete at the National Contests held in Nashville this year in May.
Henning’s Region is one of the biggest in the state so the number of competitors is large. All team and judged events have only three people that advance and the non-judged and individual contests get seven individuals advancing because of the large numbers, where most Regions only get to advance five.
The following students have qualified for the state contests, their place and the contest they advanced in are listed below. Henning had five individuals qualifying in both of their events. (Students can only compete in two events)
