On his first basket of the night, Henning High School senior Kale Misegades became the first male basketball player in school history to break the 2,000 career point barrier. Coming into the game Misegades had 1,999 points and joined Ellie Dague who scored her 2,000th career point in 2020 as the only two people in Henning history to score 2,000 points.

Misegades is the boys basketball team all-time leading scorer and has helped to lead the Hornets to an 8-0 start to the season.
