Fosse takes second at WDC wrestling tournament

Ava Rousu took first and Jolene Fosse placed second at the annual Dennis Kaatz Memorial tournament at Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday. 

Rousu captured first in the 155A tournament after securing a win over Chloe Hammes of Wadena-Deer Creek and a pin over Daphne Lundberg-Cam of Thief River Falls at the 5:08 mark of their match. 

Fosse took second place in the 130A tournament after picking up a pin over Genevieve McMullen of Thief River Falls at the 1:35 mark, as well as a pin over Hanna Annette of Detroit Lakes at 2:36 and a pin over Lola Hoehne of Frazee at 3:01. Her lone loss came at the hands of champion Charli Snyder of Wadena-Deer Creek by a pin. 

Other Bulldogs placing at the tournament was Ava Molter who took fifth place in the 118A tournament, Kayetana Lopez-Moen who took fourth place in the 136A tournament, Ella Rich who took sixth place in the 142A tournament and Jazmine Saari who took third place in the 148B tournament.
