Community Ed. to host upcoming classes

Basics of Partner Dancing class: In this class participants will go over the basics of partner dancing, including the posture and stance of their frame when partner dancing. Participants will learn how to lead/follow and will learn a basic box step that can be applied to many different types of music. Both oldies and modern music will be utilized during this class. This class is suitable and designed for beginners, come with a partner. Class participants will receive a free pass to Lakeside Dance Club to try out their new skills. The class is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Henning Public School Elementary Gym. Class fee is $25/couple. Registration deadline is December 5.
East Coast Swing Dance class: In this class participants will go over the basic steps of East Coast Swing as well as various turns. Both the oldies and more modern music will be utilized for this class. This class is suitable and designed for beginners, and also suitable for those wanting to brush up on their swing skills. Come with a partner. Class participants will receive a free pass to Lakeside Dance Club to try out their new skills. The class is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Henning Public School Elementary Gym. Class fee is $25/couple. Registration deadline is January 30.
Beaded Felt Ornaments class: Join organizers for a hands-on class where participants will get to make their very own dazzling beaded felt ornament to celebrate the holidays. These make great gifts or a beautiful ornament on a tree. No experience is needed. All supplies will be provided. Class instructor is Henning Public School art teacher McKenna Osmondson. The class is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. Class fee is $15 for students (grades fifth and up); $20 for adults. Class will be held in the Henning Public School Art Room. Registration deadline is December 4.
Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class: Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) is a step-by-step personal finance course designed to help everyday people take control of their money by teaching budgeting, debt elimination, and wealth-building strategies. With practical tools, community support, and a proven framework, FPU empowers individuals and families to achieve financial stability and long-term peace of mind.
The entire course includes nine classes, each running about 1 1/2-2 hours, that include video presentations and discussions led by class Leaders Charity and David Coates. Charity and Dave have taught this class seven times in the past and are volunteering their time to teach this class to help keep the cost of the class as low as possible. There are also scholarships available. The cost of the class is $75/couple or budgeting partner (ex: parent/adult child). This fee is for materials. Each couple will receive one workbook. Classes are scheduled on Sundays for 9 sessions starting Sunday, Jan. 11. Classes will be held at 6 p.m. in the Henning Public School Library. Registration deadline is January 5.
