Henning School students raised $1,275.70 as part of the Pennies for Presents fundraiser at the school last week. Money raised was donated to Henning HOPE. As part of the fundraiser, students had several challenges to hit along the way as prizes. If the students raised $500 they could crack an egg over Kristy Finck’s head, $600 they could give McKenna Osborne and Stephanie Jorgenson a temporary tattoo, $700 students pied Dana Damm and Kala Mills in the face, $1,000 Jennifer Brunsburg kissed a pig, $1,100 Bill Balfanz was turned into an ice cream sundae and for $1,200 Henning Principal Thomas Williams died his hair orange. Friday also included the Halloween costume parade, which was moved indoors, due to inclement weather.
