The American spirit will be on full display on Tuesday as Henning School students will present one of the largest Veterans Day programs in the region.

The day will feature a mixture of songs, tributes and a few special wrinkles to honor the sacrifices and contributions made by local veterans. Students in grades K-5 will perform a variety of songs during the program, while a number of other students and community members will provide unique ways to honor the contributions made by both the veterans and their families.

Special parking will once again be available near the front of the school for veterans and all veterans are encouraged to have a piece of pie after the program at the school.

All veterans are also encouraged to check in when they come to the program so their name can be recognized during the Veterans Day program.

The performance will take place at 1 p.m. in the high school gym and is open to the public.

Those who attend the program are encouraged to bring an item to donate to the Henning Food Shelf. The items will be collected near the entrance of the school.
