Two OTC runners post season best marks at large Perham meet

Five Otter Tail Central boys posted a personal best, while three girls posted personal bests and two more posted a season best time at the annual Harrier Invite in Perham on Thursday. 

Peter Newark led the way for the Bulldog boys as the senior finished in eighth place with a time of 16:20. Talyn Setterholm finished in 43rd place with a time of 17:30, while Drew Robinson posted a personal best to finish in 62nd place with a time of 18:07, Phoenix Allison posted a personal best to finish in 77th place with a time of 18:40, Benjamin Sanmoogan posted a personal best to finish in 92nd place with a time of 19:28, Oren Brackin posted a personal best to finish in 100th place with a time of 19:42 and Nelson Hubert posted a personal best to finish in 109th place with a time of 19:59. There were 152 boys competing in the varsity race. 

On the girls side, Claire Mansker led the way with a personal best time of 20:54 to finish in 52nd place. Tegan Brandon posted a season best time to finish in 89th place with a time of 22:20, Kailie Robinson posted a personal best time to finish in 91st place with a time of 22:20, Brielle Malone posted a season best time to finish in 92nd place with a time of 22:21, Quinn Hagemeister finished in 105th place with a time of 23:00, Mae Hagemeister finished in 128th place with a time of 24:54 and Jasmine Sanmoogan finished in 145th place with a time of 28:03. There were 154 girls competing in the varsity race. 

The boys team placed 10th with 267 points, falling just behind Detroit Lakes who took ninth place with 248 points. Perham won the meet with 29 points, while Brainerd was second with 92 points. There were 21 complete teams competing in the race. 

The girls team finished in 15th place overall with 419 points. Minnewaska Area finished just in front of the Bulldogs with 393 points, while Nevis took 16th place with 428 points and Detroit Lakes finished with 430 points. Perham won the meet with 33 points, while Little Falls finished in second place with 118 points. There were a total of 21 complete teams for the girls team.
