OTC girls team wins home meet at Balmoral

The Otter Tail Central girls finished in first place, while the boys placed second at the Otter Tail Central Invite at Balmoral Golf Course in Battle Lake last Thursday.
The girls narrowly edged Otter Tail Central for the top spot as they finished with 34 team points (3, 6, 7, 8, 10), while Parkers Prairie finished with 37 team points (1, 4, 5, 12, 15) to finished in second. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle finished in third place with 59 team points (2, 9, 14, 16, 18).
Claire Mansker led the girls team with a season best time of 21:40.06 to finish in sixth place. Tegan Brandon took ninth place with a time of 23:06.26, Kailie Robinson finished in 10th place with a time of 23:13.56, Brielle Malone finished with a season best time of 23:18.27 to finish in 11th place, Quinn Hagemeister took 16th place with a time of 23:29.66, Delia Tebrugge finished in 18th place with a time of 25:23.75 and Mae Hagemeister took 20th place with a time of 26:08.39.
The boys were led by Peter Newark who placed second in the meet with a time of 17:23.8. He was just 30 seconds behind the first place finisher of Brady Rach of Bertha-Hewitt who finished with a time of 16:45.41.
Talyn Setterholm took sixth place with a time of 17:55.34, Drew Robinson took eighth place with a time of 18:50.03, Phoenix Allison took 11th place with a time of 19:41.19, Benjamin Sanmoogan took 17th place with a time of 20:11.9, Oren Brackin posted a personal best of 20:14.57 to finish in 18th place and Nelson Hubert rounded out the day for the Bulldogs as he took 27th place with a time of 21:43.74.
On the boys side, Bertha-Hewitt placed first with 20 points, while the Bulldogs took second place with 41 points. Brandon-Evansville took third place with 73 points, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle placed fourth with 105 points and New York Mills took fifth place with 140 points.
The Bulldogs have just one meet this week as they travel to Perham to compete in a meet at Arvig Park.
