Henning art students transformed old and expired football helmets into a custom creation to help raise money for Henning students and programs. Assistant football coach and elementary teacher Ryan Emter approached art teacher McKenna Osmondson about the idea to have art students paint the expired helmets and put them up for silent auction as part of homecoming week. The helmets were on display at coronation and several events throughout the week as bids for several of the helmets ranged from $100-300. The bids officially closed at halftime of Friday’s football game and proceeds from the fundraiser will support educational field trip opportunities at Henning School and the Otter Tail Central football boosters.
