Ottertail was abuzz over the weekend for the annual OtterFest celebration. The event featured a demo derby, car show, craft fair, fireworks, live music, inflatable rides and a large parade. Among the parade entries was AutoFix, Perham Health and the Ottertail Lions with a t-shirt cannon.

Candy was in high demand as people lined the streets for the annual OtterFest Parade in Ottertail last Friday morning. The parade featured a number of floats, business entries and non-profit groups that handed out candy and treats to those who line the streets of Ottertail. Among the entries was the Ottertail Lakers 4-H group, the Ultra Luxury Vehicles, Henning Festival Royalty, First National Bank in Ottertail and All Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning. In addition to the parade, a wood carver went to work on a variety of statues carved out of large pieces of wood near the community center in Ottertail.
