The Otter Tail Central 4×200-meter relay team Annabelle Evavold, Lauren Frie, Jalena Loder and Brenna Saurer captured first place at the junior high track meet at Wadena-Deer Creek High School.

On May 8, the Otter Tail Central junior high track team traveled to Wadena-Deer Creek to compete for the Park Region Conference title. The boys team came away with a fourth place accomplishment out of eight teams, and the girls came away with the championship title. 

Highlights from the meet include:

• Marcus Roisum: 2nd in the 100 meter dash, 110 and 200 meter hurdles, 5th in triple jump

• Riley Cooper: 6th in the 200 meter dash

• Alec Mavis: 5th in the 110 meter hurdles

• Benjamin Sanmoogan: 5th in the 400 meters

• 2nd in the boys 4×100 meter relay 

• Logan Brooks: 5th in shot put

• Oliver Heggem: 5th in high jump

• Eli Chase: 3rd in pole vault

• Houston Schwartz: 3rd in long jump and 2nd place in triple jump

• Annabelle Evavold: 1st in the 100 and 200 meter dash

• Abigail Jones: 5th in the 100 meter hurdles, 4th in long jump

• Katrina Lindstrom: 1st in the 200 meter hurdles, 2nd in triple jump, 2nd in the girls 4×100 meter relay

• 1st in the girls 4×200 meter relay (Annabelle Evavold, Lauren Frie, Jalena Loder, and Brenna Saurer)

• Maggie Mark: 4th in shot put, 1st in discus

• Aubrey Borgos: 1st in triple jump

• Grace Doll: 5th in long jump
