0The Otter Tail Central Golf team has been very busy these past couple of weeks. The OTC home meet at Thumper Pond, which was scheduled for Thursday, May 15 was re-scheduled to Thursday, May 22 due to weather conditions.
The only other remaining regular season meet is the Conference Championships at Tipsinah Mounds, Monday, May 19. Then the golfers have section golf in Perham on Wednesday and Thursday, May 28-29 where they hope to do some damage and get some golfers and hopefully a team a shot at advancing to the state tournament.

Pebble Lake in
Fergus Falls
The boys team finished in fourth place with a 344 as West Central Area won the meet with a 320. Part of the difference in the score was a crazy unfortunate break in which one of OTC’s top players had to be helped off the course after a ball from another player’s shot hit a tree and ricocheted and hit him directly in the head. Luckily there were coaches nearby and the golfer is now doing ok, but did need to sit out the rest of this meet and the next meet.
Individually we were led by Logan Kostelecky with a third place finish with his 77. Teigan Bjerke 84 (13th place), Brayden Martinson 87 (17th place) and both Cameron Markuson and Connor Reinbold with 96’s (34th place).
Janie Lhotak finished with a 98 to finish in 13th place in the girl’s tournament.
