The Deer Creek Shockers trailed 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning, but were able to mount a late comeback to overtake the Sebeka Stingers by a score of 9-6 on Saturday night.

The Shockers gave up a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning and four runs in the second inning, before scoring three runs in the sixth inning, one run in the seventh inning on an error to make the score 6-4 heading into the bottom half of the seventh inning.

In the top of the eighth inning the opening five hitters of the inning all reached base safely and would later score, including a pair of runs that came across the plate on two different wild pitches to take the lead for good.

After struggling a bit to start the game, the Shockers retired 23 of the final 24 Sebeka hitters in order to end the game with the lone runner being stranded at third base in the bottom of the seventh inning.
