The Otter Tail Central boys team captured first place honors in four events, while the girls team came home with a pair of top finishes at the annual Warrior Invite in at United North Central on Tuesday night. 

Mason Hoyt took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.13, Eljah Fronning took first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.51, Max Mekalson captured first place in the discus with a throw of 135’ 8 1/2” and Phoenix Allison took the top spot in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:44.59. 

In addition to the top honors, William Schwartz picked up a pair of top three finishes when he finished in second place in the shot put with a throw of 44’ 3” and third place in the discus with a throw of 112’ 3”. 

On the girls side, Belle Bormann took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.50 and also took third place in the 1600-meter run with  time of 5:59.22. 

Sam Lanners came home with top honors in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 57.41. 

This week the Eagles participate in the Section 6A true team meet in Pelican Rapids on Tuesday in their lone action of the week.
