Two people sentenced in OTC Court

0Stay of imposition issued
Anthony Guiseppi Tallarico, 46, of Pelican Rapids, was sentenced Feb. 27, 2015, following a felony conviction of third-degree assault. He received a stay of imposition and will have his felony conviction reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays law abiding during a five-year probationary period.
He previously served 29 days at the county jail in Fergus Falls. Work release was authorized as per Sheriff Office rules and policies as part of his local confinement.
The judge ordered Tallarico, during his probationary period, to cooperate with his probation officer during the search of his person, residence, vehicle, workplace and property, as directed by the probation officer.
He cannot use or possess firearms, ammunition, explosives or mood-altering chemicals. Random testing will be used during Tallarico’s five-year probationary period.
Felony sentence stayed
Kyle Lance Hubrig, 40, of Battle Lake was sentenced Feb. 10, 2025, in county court, Fergus Falls, following a third-degree felony of intentional restraint, a form of illegally restraining another person.
Hubrig can avoid 13 months of jail time in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility if he stays law abiding for three years during a probationary period.
He must complete a comprehensive assessment, under court orders, and follow recommendations of evaluation, including aftercare. There will be no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications.
