The Henning varsity girls basketball team held their end of the season banquet last Sunday night.  Head coach Mike Hepola said it was obviously a tough season wins and losses wise, but the team was a great group of young ladies that represented the school and communities well.  

The first two awards were a couple of very important ones that these student-athletes did a great job in earning.  The first one was the entire team as they earned the Class A Gold Academic Team Award, which is given to teams that have a cumulative team GPA of 3.75 or above and our Henning team came in at 3.83.  

The second one was individual awards earned by both of Henning’s seniors. Lila Thorson and Tiffany Weber were both named to the Academic All-State team as they both had a cumulative GPA of 4.00 after the first semester which takes into consideration every grade since their ninth grade year.  

Letterwinners for this season were as follows:  two-time letterwinners: Lila Thorson, Tiffany Weber, Monica Hansen and Callie Thompson; first time letterwinners: Isabelle Godding, Addison Bode, Alivia Emter, Abbigale Godding, Bella Olson, Brynn Reinbold and Stella Iliff.

Zoey Gruber and Hallie Weller did a great job as the managers this season and were recognized with manager pins.
