Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) of Greater East Otter Tail County is excited to be planning a Community Gathering for Wednesday, March 12, at 11:30 a.m. at Crosspoint Alliance Church. This event features a light lunch of pizza and goodies and an opportunity to learn more about the mission of Love INC, what Love INC of Greater East Otter Tail County has been doing in the past year, and how churches and/or individuals can get involved in Love INC.  Speakers will include Emily Ripley, the Executive Director of Love INC of Greater East Otter Tail County, Love INC Board Chair Michael Bochman, and Rev. Daniel Walker, National Director of Developing New Affiliates. 

The community gathering takes place during the two-day one year evaluation of the local Love INC affiliate (Love INC of Greater East Otter Tail) by National Love INC. 

Rev. Daniel Walker will assess how the affiliate is doing by various means: interviews with the executive director, board members, and volunteers, a tour of the Connection Center, an observation of a board of directors meeting, and further training for board  members.  The community gathering provides a way for Rev. Walker to meet with pastors of Love INC’s partner churches, leaders of community agencies, volunteers, and interested individuals. It also provides a chance to celebrate the progress Love INC  has made in the past year and better inform the public of the needs and opportunities 

available of/in the local Love INC affiliate. 

The public is invited to attend this gathering. Because an accurate meal count is necessary in advance, anyone interested in attending and eating at the gathering was requested to RSVP by Friday, March 7.
