Defying the odds, two members of the same family celebrated a Leap Year birthday on Tuesday. Wilma Witt, a resident of the Henning Health Care Center, was honored with a party for her 80th birthday on February 29. Over 100 of her family and friends came to celebrate. The odds of being born on Leap Year are close to one in 1,400 and the odds of having two Leap Year birthdays in the same family are unknown.
