A Henning School student’s National Honor Society project could result in a big boost for the Lakes Area Pregnancy Support Center (LAPS).

Henning junior Monica Hansen is sponsoring a donation drive for the LAPS throughout the month of February. The donation drive is seeking new, or like new items, to assist new families and their young children. Donation boxes can be located at the Henning High School doors, St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Water’s Edge Church and the Henning City Hall.

As part of her project, Hansen is seeking new crib mattresses, nursing tops, diapers, baby bottles and wipes, baby hygiene items, car seats, pacifiers, baby toys and new gifts for moms.

She is also seeking like new items like a crib, high chair, boppy cover, mattress pad, baby monitor, baby clothes, maternity clothes, diaper bag, baby pillow, bouncy seat, baby swing, crib sheet, stroller and baby books.

The items will be collected for LAPS throughout the month of February.
