All things cold, snow and winter will take center stage at Henning School next week. The annual Snow Week celebration will kick off on Tuesday with coronation, before wrapping up on Friday night with a boys-girls doubleheader basketball game against Bertha-Hewitt.
Snow Week will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 21 with coronation as six candidates will be competing for the title of Snow Week King and Queen. King candidates include: Mason Samuelson, Jack Reinbold and Devan Wiederich and the queen candidates include: Faith Anderson, Kendra Juvrud and Emma Bahnson. Coronation will be held during eighth period, or about 2:30 p.m. The dress up theme for Tuesday is USA (red, white and blue).
On Wednesday the dress up theme will be Neon Day, while the students will remain busy with a variety of activities throughout the day. The first round of the dodgeball tournament will kick off in the morning and in the afternoon high school students will participate in the annual activity day. The students will be heading to Wadena where they will have the option to go to the Maslowski Center, bowling or roller skating.
Students can just roll out of bed and head to school on Thursday for the annual pajama day dress up theme, while the second day of the dodgeball tournament will also be held.
Snow Week will wrap up on Friday when the dress up theme will be school spirit day and the afternoon will feature a pepfest.
