Noah Umland had his best offensive game of the season and Logan Kostelecky recorded a double-double, but it wasn’t enough as the Hornets fell to Morris/Chokio-Alberta by a score of 69-63 in the Fergus Falls Tournament. It was the first loss of the season for the Hornets who trailed by just one point at halftime by a score of 32-31.
“We had chances, but the story of the game was on the glass and in the paint. We didn’t match the physicality and toughness of Morris. We gave up 15 offensive rebounds and only shot three free throws in the game,” said head coach Randy Misegades.
While the Hornets went just 2-3 from the free throw line, Morris found itself on the free throw line quite frequently throughout the game. The Tigers went 13-24 from the charity stripe and held a 35-23 advantage in rebounding.

The Hornets forced 19 turnovers and held the Trojans to just 34 percent shooting from the floor.
