The Executive Board of Boots on the Ground recently donated a check to the Veteran Residents, following their successful 2024 summer and fall motorcycle fun run events. The activities generated significant funds aimed at supporting resident events, recreational activities, and other essential needs.

Established in 2014, Boots on the Ground was created to honor the Veterans residing at the Minnesota Veterans Homes in Fergus Falls. This year, the organization raised a total of $30,000, which will be allocated as follows:

• Resident Haircuts – $15,000

• Bingo Sponsorships – $2,000

• A Pool Table for the Veterans Village – $5,000

• Recreation Fund – $8,000

“We deeply appreciate the unwavering commitment ‘Boots on the Ground’ has shown our Veteran Residents and spouses,” said Jonathan Stone, Administrator of Fergus Falls Veterans Home. “Their generosity over the years has been truly remarkable. Thanks to the dedication and kind hearts of our community and their gracious sponsors, our Veterans enjoy numerous activities and outings. We are infinitely grateful to ‘Boots on the Ground’ and look forward to our continued partnership.”
