This year’s Henning League was well attended with 24 shooters. Each shooter shot one round (25 shots) at 16 yards from the trap house and one round at 22 yards every other week during a 10 week period. A total of 12 shooters completed all 10 rounds to qualify for average standings.

High gun was Dakota Aeling, high school head trap team coach, with 23.5 (of 25) average, Steve Aeling, assistant coach with 22.8 average. Mark Paschke 22.0 and Jim Strege 21.3 average.

The trap league also had a team event decided by a random drawing with a tie for first place, Dave Carlson/Mark Paschke with 405 “hits” of 500 and Dave Hagland/Dakota Aeling. Third place was Josh Larson/Wayne Bronson with 404 hits of 500.

The gun club is in the process of adding another field. Those who are interested in shooting next summer can expect to start around the end of May on every other Thursday for five weeks.

For more information contact Jim Strege at (218) 579-0440. Free coaching will be available for beginner shooters, male or female or anyone over 14 years of age (with safety certificate).
