On Oct. 24 members of the Leaf Mount Lutheran Church, located south of Clitherall, donated several bags of items to patients receiving cancer care at Astera Health. This donation was part of a larger mission by the church to assist cancer centers across the region. Astera Health is currently constructing a new cancer center that is slated to open in 2025.

The group donated several large bags filled with items beneficial to cancer care patients, including lip balms, various lotions, adult coloring books, and much more. The donation was coordinated by 10 members of the church wanting to make the struggles of cancer care a little less painful.

Astera Health does accept donations to patients through the Foundation. Learn more about how to make donations to patients or the new cancer center at www.AsteraHealth.org/Foundation.
