Cross country team competes at Border Battle

The Otter Tail Central cross country team traveled to Grand Forks on Saturday for the annual Border Battle. The meet features teams from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Canada.
The Bulldogs were led by junior Peter Newark who took 13th place with a time of 16:52. There were a total of 258 varsity boys entered in the Class A race. Talyn Setterholm put on a sold show as the junior finished in 68th place with a time of 18:31, while Aidan Heggem finished in 74th place with a time of 18:44. Quinn Condiff finished in 138th place with a time of 19:59.8, Dylan Geihsler finished in 168th place with a time of 20:39, Phoenix Allison finished in 171st place with a time of 20:47 and Nelson Hubert finished in 184th place with a time of 21:03.
On the girls side, Tegan Brandon led the way for OTC as she finished in 87th place with a time of 22:41. Brielle Malon finished in 92nd place with a time of 22:58, Delia Tebrugge finished in 154th place with a time of 25:01, Mae Hagemeister finished in 188th place with a time of 26:28, Emily Christensen finished in 191st place with a time of 26:37 and Jasmine Sanmoogan finished in 219th place with a time of 31:12.
There were a total of 225 entrants in the Class A girls race.
This week the Bulldogs will host a home meet at Balmoral Golf Course on Thursday afternoon in their lone action of the week.
