School spirit will be on full display this week for the annual homecoming week celebration at Henning School.

Coronation was held on Monday night, which was followed by the annual bonfire at the demo derby pit at the Henning Festival Grounds. The dress up day on Monday was pajama day and the daily activity was a Just Dance competition among grade levels during school.

Homecoming week continued on Tuesday with the dress up day as dress like the first letter of your name and the iron man volleyball competition between junior and senior boys.

On Wednesday the dress up theme was athletes vs. mathletes and the powder puff football game will be held during sixth period.

Thursday’s dress up theme is construction workers, while students will participate in relay races on the football period during seventh period.

Homecoming week wraps up on Friday with school spirit day and a parade that will roll through downtown Henning beginning at 2:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the school and follow a similar route as the annual Henning Festival Parade each summer.

Friday also includes a pepfest with the student body in the morning and the annual homecoming dance in Henning following the conclusion of the football game.
