It won’t be hard to find Henning’s newest teacher this fall—just follow the banging drums and trumpets breaking through the otherwise quiet hallways of Henning Public School.
Kaylin Bosworth has been hired to replace longtime music and band teacher Ben Johnson this fall. She will be teaching grades 5-12 band, pep band, drumline and choir.
A recent graduate from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., Bosworth has a degree in instrumental music education. Henning is her first job teaching and she is looking forward to joining the staff at the school.
“I’m very excited to start my career here in Henning.
Originally from Fergus Falls, Bosworth is looking forward to sharing her enjoyment of music with the Henning youth.
“I am looking forward to sharing my passion for music with these kids,” said Bosworth. “I have had the privilege of touring and performing nationally and internationally. Now, I am looking forward to grounding myself in a tight-knit community like Henning.”
During her time as a student in school, Bosworth said she enjoyed everything that had to do with music.
“You would find me in either concert band, pep band, marching band, orchestra or playing piano,” said Bosworth. “There is something so special about the friends and connections you make in music that is so rewarding. Times in band class are my most favorite moments and will always look back fondly at them.”
