The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs competed at the section 6A preview on Tuesday, Sept. 3, hosted by Wadena-Deer Creek. A total of 22 teams were in attendance and the Bulldogs were able to place three runners in the top 10.

The meet started with seventh grader Claire Mansker winning the junior high girls race in a personal best of 13:15. Teammate Quinn Hagemeister wasn’t too far behind taking seventh place with a time of 14:40. 

In the men’s 5k race, junior Peter Newark led the way for the Bulldogs taking second with a time of 17:19. Senior Aidan Heggem had a strong race placing 27th finishing in 19:36. Junior Phoenix Allison was the next Bulldog across the finish line running 21:26, then a pair of seniors, Dylan Geihsler and Quinn Condiff ran 22:00 and 22:01 respectively to round out the five scoring positions. As a team the Bulldogs placed eighth out of the 22 teams in attendance.

The Bulldogs did not have a complete team in the girls 5k, but were led by Tegan Brandon placing 35th, followed by Delia Tebrugge in 54th and Emily Christensen in 74th. 

The Bulldogs will be competing in Ada-Borup next on Thursday.
