Rewind, Inc. of Perham was honored with the Excellence in Corrections Award by the Minnesota Association of County Probation Officers (MACPO) during their annual conference.

Rewind, Inc. has been a cornerstone for chemical dependency treatment in Otter Tail County. This year, they have taken their commitment further by opening a men’s supportive transitional housing unit, reflecting their stepped vision for enhancing recovery support.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Carmen Larson, Rewind, Inc. has forged strong partnerships with regional employers to ensure their clients can maintain a sober lifestyle after treatment. The entire team’s dedication to each client’s recovery journey is truly commendable. “Short-term sobriety is hard, and long-term is even harder, so if we can do something to ease that burden, then why wouldn’t we?” remarked Larson.

Otter Tail County Probation Director Michael A. Schommer expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are thankful for the exceptional work of all staff at Rewind and greatly value our partnership. Together, we recognize the long road to recovery and can balance support with accountability to enhance the safety of our community.”
