0The University of Minnesota Extension Office is hosting Annie’s Project event, a transformative two-day retreat dedicated to fostering connections, sharing knowledge, and empowering women passionate about agriculture. Organizers are excited to invite long-time, beginner, and future farmers from both urban and rural areas to join us for this inspiring event focused on collaboration, growth, and empowerment.
The Annie’s Project Retreat is being offered by the U of M Extension Women in Ag Network in partnership with the Friends of Frog Tree Farm, located north of Wadena, Minn., from Sept. 21-22. Annie’s Project is for any farmer or rancher looking to understand farm management and decision-making topics better. Annie’s Project is designed to empower farm businesses in today’s complex, dynamic world of agriculture.

The event will include a variety of engaging workshops, insightful speakers, and numerous networking opportunities. These activities are designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women in the agricultural sector. Whether people are an urban farmer, a rural farmer, or anywhere in between, local perspectives and experiences are invaluable to everyone’s collective success.
Normally the cost is $99 for the class, but thanks to a Regional Sustainable Development Partnership project, the registration for this retreat is only $25 per participant. Capacity is limited to the first 16 people. Overnight accommodations will be at cabins and bell tents at Frog Tree Farm, 26279 County Rd 9, Verndale, MN 56481.
