The East Battle Lake Watershed Association held its Annual meeting at the Henning Community Center on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The meeting room was filled with 90 people, a record crowd, who visited together while enjoying donuts from Sandy’s and coffee.

Likely, the large turnout came to hear Conservation Officer Tricia Plautz describe a day in her busy life serving a significant portion of Otter Tail County. She gave insights on the seasonal dynamics of her work ranging from fishing seasons to hunting seasons including fishing limit violations, deer baiting violations and TIP (Turning in Poachers) enforcement.

Raffle prizes were awarded throughout the meeting thanks to contributions from Sandy’s Bakery, The Corner Convenience Store, Vining Grill, Bigfoot-Victory Gas Station, NorthStar-Victory Gas Station, Gateway Pub, Farmstand, Corner Café, Scotty’s Upholstery and Brogard Plumbing and Heating. The association appreciates the support provided by these local businesses.
