Shockers edge Sebeka 7-2 to advance to region semi-finals

The third seeded Deer Creek Shockers advanced to the semi-finals of the Region 14C tournament on Saturday with an 8-2 win over sixth seeded Clarissa. The Shockers will now take on second seeded Midway, who defeated Sebeka by a score of 7-2 on Saturday afternoon, on Saturday night at 8 p.m. in Perham. The winner of the game will take on either top seeded New York Mills or fourth seeded Perham on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Perham. The winner of that game will advance to state, while the loser will drop to the elimination bracket and take on the winner of fifth seeded Nimrod and eighth seeded Henning on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Sebeka.
