The incoming and outgoing Henning Festival royalty gathered shortly after coronation on Friday night for picture to mark the new royalty’s reign. Pictured above includes Kennedy Lutgens, Evie Thorson, Lucy Torgerson, Tiffany Weber, Kendra Juvrud, Lila Thorson and Emma Bahnson. They were joined by outgoing Little Miss Henning royalty: Brielle Thalmann, Kaylee Godding and Mackenzie Andrews. Below: As part of the Little Miss pageant, the contestants performed a dance routine. 

Above: Despite inclement weather the night before, the Henning car show once again featured a large collection of vehicles in Amundson Park on Sunday. Below: The first Henning grass volleyball tournament was held at Amundson Park on Saturday. Middle below: Pastor Daniel Larson was dunked after a local youth decided to take matters into her own hands and pushed the dunk tank target. Another popular event on Saturday was the youth and adult bean bag tournament (bottom left). 

The Henning Festival Parade rolled through the streets of Henning on Friday night. Among the entrants was the Farmstand food truck (above), the Otter Tail Central youth wrestling program (below) and East Otter Tail County Dairy Princess Ella Horn (far left).

Right and middle right: The annual Henning demo derby once again turned out a large crowd of spectators on Saturday night. The demo derby wrapped up just prior to the start of Saturday’s storms that rolled through the area. Below: Friday’s parade kicked off a busy weekend in Henning. The grand marshal this year was longtime dentist Michael Berglund (middle right) and also included the kiddie parade that featured several “Olympic athletes” (below). Saturday included a number of activities in Henning like the softball tournament (bottom left) and a quilt show at the Trinity Center (bottom right).
