Kostelecky, Bjerke earn all-conference honors

The Otter Tail Central golf team wrapped up its regular season after competing at the Quad County Conference Meet on Monday, May 20 at Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course. The Bulldogs will now head into the postseason where they will compete in the Section 6A golf tournament in Perham from May 29-30.  

Head coach Mike Hepola said the team is made up of a nice group of golfers this year as they had just under 40 total golfers grades 7-12 from Henning and Battle Lake. At the varsity level there are just six boys and girls at each meet.  

Unfortunately, OTC only had three girls ready for the varsity level. Normal team scores for the regular season are based on the top four scores out of scores, but a decision was made in the conference to have team scores made up of just three people due to many teams having low number of girls golfers.

At the conference meet, juniors Logan Kostelecky and Teigan Bjerke on earning all-conference honors this season.
