Sophomore Isabelle Godding qualified for the national contests in Basic Office Systems and Procedures while Tiffany Weber qualified in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures. Both of these contests test the students’ abilities in Microsoft Office skills, mainly in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

There are several thousand students competing from many different states along with some from Puerto Rico and China.

Henning BPA Advisor Mike Hepola said both Godding and Weber did a great job of representing Henning School and community while at the contests.  Weber finished in 26th place in her event, while Godding finished in 58th place.

“I want to thank the Henning School, Henning Lions, First National Bank, Henning HOPE and the Ottertail Lions for their help in covering the expenses involved in traveling and competing at the National level,” said Hepola. “We really appreciate your help and as their advisor I can undoubtedly report to everyone that these two did a great job of competing and also behaving themselves during the entire trip which allowed us to do some historical sight-seeing and exploring during the downtimes in between contests.”
